Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Cospolich

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Cospolich! What a wonderful time we’ve had in 2017, and we’re looking forward to the exceptional times that 2018 will hold.

Christmas is a time for traditions, being together with the people who matter, and stories of hope and good tidings. One story comes from 1915, when much of the US Navy was deployed overseas for World War 1. The USS New York was sent to reinforce the British Fleet in the North Sea and had returned to US port for Christmas. At the suggestion of the crew, the ship held a massive, high-profile party, collecting and giving out presents for several hundred local orphans. The ship was dubbed “The Christmas Ship”, and its reputation was shrouded in good will for much of its working life.

At Cospolich, we believe that The Christmas Ship perfectly embodies the spirit of Christmas. Whether you’re enjoying the cheer of the season on land or at sea, everyone here at Cospolich wishes you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
