Refrigeration Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will work on designing, developing, and maintaining custom refrigeration systems specifically built for private, commercial, and military and Navy applications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance in mission-critical refrigeration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer custom refrigeration systems using stainless steel materials to meet specific military and Navy requirements.
Work with other members of engineering to create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for refrigeration systems. Develop prototypes and assist in performing testing to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with military standards. -
System Optimization:
Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability in challenging environments. Apply advanced engineering principles to enhance refrigeration system capabilities in extreme conditions. -
Installation & Maintenance:
Capability to oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of refrigeration systems on private, commercial, and/or military and Navy vessels and facilities. Provide ongoing maintenance and support to ensure systems operate efficiently and remain in optimal condition. -
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all designs and solutions comply with customer or military and Navy standards, as well as environmental and safety regulations. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, reports, bills of materials, and user manuals. -
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support for the identification and resolution of issues related to refrigeration systems. Offer solutions to complex engineering challenges while ensuring minimal downtime for critical systems.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of experience in refrigeration engineering, ideally in custom or military applications.

Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 7+ years of experience in refrigeration design and engineering, ideally in custom or military applications.

Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.

Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) for system design and modeling, is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Bonus Qualifications (not required):

Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant certifications.

Previous experience working with stainless steel materials in a manufacturing environment.

Electrical Systems & Controls Engineer
Position Overview:
The Electrical Systems & Controls Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical and control systems for our custom naval refrigeration and heating products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, controls programming, and system integration, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Create and maintain 2-D electrical schematics using CAD software for refrigeration and heating systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Prototyping: Lead the physical build of prototypes, including the development of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and the creation of drawings and models using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD and Solidworks).

Technical Support: Provide technical support for internal teams and customers, troubleshooting issues related to electrical and control systems.
-
Control Systems: Design, program, and implement electronic and mechanical control systems for refrigeration and heating applications.
-
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering designers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical components.
-
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, schematics, programming, and testing procedures.

Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with specifications.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in electrical design and control system development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design and control engineering, preferably in refrigeration or heating applications.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of experience in controls system design and applications, preferably in a custom or naval context.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and experience with control programming languages (e.g., PLC programming).

Strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration and heating controls, and mechanical integration.
-
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with naval industry standards and regulations is a plus.

CAD Designer
Summary of Position: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) models and technical drawings based on specifications provided by government technical specifications, private buyers, and other stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs/drawings are accurate, meet project requirements, and are delivered on time.
Responsibilities:

Create drawings in AutoCAD for Customer RFQs with focus on feasibility of manufacturing and engineering, ensuring the approved design supports our capabilities and best practices.

Create/update sales drawings in AutoCAD, per Sales Order packet.
-
Assist in creating Technical Drawings in AutoCAD using Navy/ANSI standards.
-
Work with engineering/design team to complete 3D modeling and designing in SOLIDWORKS.

Assist in the building and fabrication of working prototypes of new products.

Support production in the building and fabrication of your projects, as needed. This includes following and tracking your project through the production process.

Establish and coordinate the activities to follow the product from design through production including timelines, product component procurement, and material selection.

Work with production personnel to improve current designs. Test and proof improvements to assure expected goals were accomplished and no exposures were created.

Assist with troubleshooting and solving problems that occur on the production floor.

Maintain project files and resource materials such as drawings, instruction manuals, test data, design criteria and specifications within company guidelines.
-
Confer with workers in other departments such as sales, marketing, engineering and administration to provide technical information and implementation of operating procedures and to resolve system malfunctions.

Assist with or oversee creation of the manufacturing Bill of Material to prepare new or redesigned products for production.
-
Assist in generating detail specifications of the individual components of the new design and replacement components in end of life and in cost reductions projects.
Qualification Requirements:

Associate’s degree or higher in CAD, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

2+ years of related experience in AutoCAD required. Relevant certifications (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) are a plus.

Experience with sheet metal in a manufacturing and/or HVACR environment is preferred.

Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, as well as to prevent potential problems.
